Record Bowls

So these are oven melted records. My first time of trying this and they came out really well, they remind me of coral. So to make these you need an old record, a oven proof bowl or dish thats about 2 inches smaller than the record, a ceramic remekin and maybe a few pebbles as weights. Pre-heat oven to 130C, place the bowl/dish in the oven with the record on top and the ramekin on top of the record in the center (the ramekin will push the record down in the middle to make the bowl shape). Each record will take a different amount of time before it starts to turn flexible, so don't leave the oven! Once it starts to "flop" take the bowl and record out and press down on the ramekin, you can also use a tea-towel to mould the record into a specific shape. It will harden quite quickly so don't force the record, simply place it back in the oven again until it starts to "flop" again. When you're happy with the shape take everything out of the oven and leave to cool. Enjoy :)
